Project Summary

Rebuilding with Grace is a mini documentary focused on Quinnipiac Dance Team member, Alexa Prieto, who tore her ACL in a performance in March of 2024. From there she has made a remarkable recovery with hopes to once again hit the stage with her team.

Objective

The overall objective of this mini documentary is to highlight the grit and determination behind athletes like Alexa who overcome injuries to pursue their passions.

Process

Target Audience

Who is watching this documentary? Most viewers span across three categories:

  • Dancers/Dance Enthusiasts

  • Those returning from injury

These three groups are most likely to resonate with Alexa’s story, making them the ideal audience.

Final Product

I am so excited to share the story of my teammate, Alexa, who has been making a remarkable recovery from ACL reconstruction surgery. Alexa has been such an inspiration in the way she has handled her injury with such grace and optimism.

Sharing Alexa’s story not only highlights her grit and determination but shows others that you can make a comeback from a life changing injury.
